Preparing for
success in BPM: Best practices in modelling,
design, implementation and
governance | |
|
Date:
24-26 August 2010
Venue: The Forum, Bryanston
According to recent research by the Association for Imaging and
Information Management (AIIM), half of organisations using business
process management (BPM) tools achieve a payback from their
investment in 18 months or less. In all, 72% recoup their BPM spend
within two years. A majority of respondents felt they have only
addressed one-fifth of the potentially profitable BPM projects in
their organisation and consider BPM to be “significant” or
“imperative” to their business.
This trend is also apparent in South Africa, where many local
businesses are using BPM tools as part of their strategy to leverage
business growth and expansion into other countries. Nevertheless,
confusion over what exactly BPM means still exists – is it about the
technology, the process, the people, or all three?
ITWeb’s second annual BPM Summit & Awards will dispel the
myths surrounding BPM and focus on practical, real-world
implementations and their results.
For the second year, ITWeb is also running its BPM Excellence
Awards, culminating in a prestigious cocktail function to be held on
the evening of 24 August 2010. ITWeb will unveil the call for
entries for its BPM Awards early in the new year, so if you have a
BPM success story that you think deserves recognition, watch this
space!
