Following the demise of suitor Insys Business Solutions, customer relationship management (CRM) group MetaLogix has moved back to its original offices and has taken over support of all previous Insys SalesLogix customers.
Brian Drury, MD of MetaLogix, says the company has emerged unscathed from the closure of Insys.
MetaLogix was to be acquired by Insys in June to form the single biggest Interact Commerce partner to supply SalesLogix to the local market.
“We took a decision in May this year to merge with Insys, given that they were a bigger company with a longer track record (so to speak), and had a fairly comprehensive suite of offerings in enterprise resource planning, CRM and business intelligence. In addition, Insys was physically across the road from us so it made sense for us to join forces,” he says.
“However, although we physically moved in with Insys, within two weeks of the move we had determined that the company was in financial difficulties. We immediately discontinued the merger agreements, and continued to trade as MetaLogix, albeit from Insys' premises for two months.
“We have since moved back to our original premises. Not only have we retained our original staff complement, but the four key CRM personnel from Insys have joined MetaLogix with effect from 1 August. MetaLogix now has no less than 13 highly trained and experienced CRM consultants.”
Drury says Insys SalesLogix clients have nothing to fear as his company has already secured the go-ahead from Interact Commerce to provide customers with the necessary support.
“We have arranged with Interact Commerce that MetaLogix will assume the support obligations of the Insys SalesLogix customers at no additional charge to the customers or to Interact. Thus we now have almost the complete SalesLogix customer base in SA supported from one company, as until recently Insys was the only other business partner other than MetaLogix to have installed sites in SA.
“Our clients include four listed blue-chip companies, and several smaller ones. I would like to stress that MetaLogix has had a phenomenally successful and profitable year. We have in no way been affected by the demise of Insys and we continue to grow from strength to strength.”
