Borland Software honoured in SD Times 100 for third consecutive year
ISSUED BY: BORLAND SOFTWARE
Recognised for providing business value across the software delivery lifecycle
[Scotts Valley, California, 30 May 2005] - Borland Software Corporation today announced that it has been chosen by SD Times as one of the SD Times 100 leaders and innovators for the third consecutive year.

The SD Times 100 honours the companies and organisations that have demonstrated the greatest innovation and leadership in the software development industry over the previous year.

SD Times recognised Borland's industry-wide contribution of groundbreaking software development solutions that align people, processes and technology to maximise the business value of software. Listed in both the Modelling and Tools & Environments categories for the third straight year, SD Times recognised Borland for its leadership in providing Unified Modelling Language (UML) capabilities to Microsoft developers, as well as the introduction of Borland Core Software Delivery Platform (SDP), the company's integrated, role-based software delivery platform.

Borland was also named for the first time in the Collaboration & Software Configuration Management (SCM) category for its modelling, SCM and development tools integration that "broadens collaboration appeal".

"The software development industry is led by innovation," said Alan Zeichick, editor-in-chief of SD Times. "When choosing the 2005 SD Times 100, we carefully considered each organisation's products and services, reputation with development managers, and the new ideas and thought leadership that it has brought to the industry. Thanks to the SD Times 100 winners, the art of software development continues to advance at a rapid pace."

"We greatly appreciate the recognition of Borland's leadership by SD Times' staff and readers, especially in an industry as dynamic as software development," said David Intersimone, vice-president of developer relations at Borland. "Continuing our legacy of innovation and making enterprise development teams more productive and successful is a priority for Borland."
